Background

Mighty Oak Entertainment is a television production and distribution company that specializes in clip-based sports programming. It was founded in 2005 by Mark O'Brien, who formerly worked as a syndication sales executive for Warner Bros. In 2006, Mighty Oak Entertainment sold its first series, Whacked Out Sports, to NBC owned and operated stations.

1st Logo (September 7, 2006-2014)

Visuals: We see a bright flash, which dies down to reveal an abstract drawing of a green oak tree with its leaves gently rustling in the wind. The background is white on the top half of the screen and green on the bottom half (in the same color as the tree). Below the tree, we see the words

MightyOak ENTERTAINMENT (in white)

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A dreamy synth tune with birds chirping followed by a male announcer saying "Produced and distributed by Mighty Oak Entertainment."

Audio Variant: There is a variant without the announcer.

Availability: Seen at the end of episodes of Whacked Out Videos and Whacked Out Sports until 2014.

2nd Logo (2014-)


Visuals: On a black background there's the text "MIGHTY OAK ENTERTAINMENT" in a white bolder text and inside an outlined box. After, a white semicircle enlarges from the circle, and reveals a tree being drawn and filled with green leaves, all placed in the top background colored with white.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Same as before.

Availability: Found on current episodes of Whacked Out Sports.
