Background

Mike Zoss Productions is the production company of filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen. It is named after Mike Zoss Drugs, a pharmacy in St. Louis Park, Minnesota that the Coen Brothers often visited.

Logo (February 2, 2000-)

Visuals: There is a black outline of a horse's backside. The horse moves its head back and looks towards the camera. The name "MIKE ZOSS PRODUCTIONS" in black fades in, the font and background color depending on the movie.

Variants:

  • 2000-2001: Plain gray background. The name fades in below the horse.
  • 2003-2004: Peach-colored background.
  • 2007-: The horse stands on a grassy field at sunset. The name fades in above the horse and the scenery disappears, leaving a parchment background.
    • On Burn After Reading, the logo is tinted in gray.

Technique: Cel-shaded CGI.

Audio: None or the closing theme of the movie.

Availability: Debuted at the end of O Brother, Where Art Thou? and has appeared on every film since.
