Background
After Hugo Chavez Frias assumed presidential power following the 1998 Venezuelan elections, the cadena joint broadcasts began to be promoted by the Ministerio de la Secretaría de la Presidencia de la República (English: Ministry of the Secretary of the President of the Republic). This would last until August 21, 2002, when the Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Comunicación y la Información was created.
Logo (1999-August 21, 2002)
Visuals: The waving Venezuelan flag appears without the stars, and a flare brightens up near the center, bringing faint texts of the ministry name scrolling. The seven stars of the flag rotate in from the right, and the stacked text "El Ministerio de la Secretaría de la Presidencia de la República" zooms out from the sides line-by-line. The transparent landmass of Venezuela appears fading in at the center. After a while, the scrolling texts disappear and the flag stops waving.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A dramatic synth/orchestral note, leading to a marching trumpet fanfare with an announcer.
Availability: Seen at the beginning and end of national cadenas (joint broadcasts) by the Venezuelan government during the period, with the majority of them not being preserved online in full.
