Background

MoonScoop Group was an French animation company founded in 2003 after the merger of Antefilms Production (started in 1990) and France Animation (started in 1984). In July of 2013, the company went into administration and its assets were divested. Mike and Liz Young purchased back the US division and renamed it as Splash Entertainment, while Dargaud Média acquired the rest of MoonScoop and appointed the remaining employees at EllipsAnime.

1st Logo (Code Lyoko Variant) (August 31, 2005-November 10, 2007)

Visuals: Against a background of swirling blue/black lights, there is a gray crescent moon with the text "MOONSCOOP" written in the center. The lights pass through the moon and turn it from transparent into grey. The word "PRESENTS" (in whatever language the show is being broadcasted in [French is the example], video games remove it) types itself below the logo, then it fades out and the opening intro continues.

Variant: At the end of the show, the MoonScoop logo, now with a yellow crescent, appear in a split-screen credit format at the left side of the screen.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The opening theme of the show, "A World Without Danger", performed by Noam Kaniel.

Availability: Seen on Code Lyoko starting with the second season. The closing variant was only used at the end of the second season; the remaining two seasons have the Taffy Entertainment logo instead.

Legacy: This logo is a favorite for those that grew up watching Code Lyoko.

2nd Logo (September 18, 2006-March 29, 2014)

Visuals: There is a yellow moon against a night sky. Then the sun hits it, making an eclipse (which causes the moon to turn into a crescent). Under the crescent is the phrase "MoonScoop", swirling from the left to the center. After the phrase finished swirling, it shines from left to right.

Variants:

• There was also a still variant on a white background.
• On some shows produced by the company, the haze around the word isn't visible, the moon is in a different shade of yellow, and the phrase is in a different position.
• On other shows, the still variant shares its' screen via split-screen with other production logos.

Technique: CGI. None for the still version.

Audio: An explosion sound, followed by a synthesized shimmer. Most programs and direct-to-DVD specials from MoonScoop at around this time either had the show's closing theme playing instead, or just silence.

Availability: It's seen on Titeuf: Le film, The Twisted Whiskers Show, Gasp! (TV series), Zevo-3, Quest for Zhu, the second and final season of Chloe's Closet, the third season of Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures, The DaVincibles, the second and final season of Dive Olly Dive!, the second and final season of Hero: 108, Lala-Oopsies: A Sew Magical Tale, early episodes of the first season of Lalaloopsy (TV series), later episodes of Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot, My Phone Genie, The Power of Zhu, and early episodes of Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch. The white background version is relatively common and can be seen on the first two seasons of Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures, original prints of Dive Olly Dive! and the Pirate Treasure (recent prints of the movie have the Splash Entertainment logo plastering this logo), the first season of Wild Grinders, later episodes of the first season of Hero: 108, the second and final season of Pet Alien, and early episodes of Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot, as well as the Pet Alien game for the Nintendo DS.

Legacy: This logo is another favorite among fans of MoonScoop's work from their remaining years.
