Logo (November 20, 1981-1984)

Visuals: On a steel blue background, a white circle slides from the bottom left corner to center of the screen. After a curvy, dark red zig zagged line with a pointed end is drawn over the circle from the bottom left section, "Moon" and "Pictures", both in stylized sharp fonts, white fill, and a black shadow facing the bottom right, fade in on the top left and bottom right sections of the screen respectively.

Variant: A version with a black background also exists.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: Two tracks were used:

  • A peaceful saxophone and lush harp and xylophone rendition of "Moon River" from Breakfast at Tiffany's.
  • A mellow, descending synthesizer melody ending with a synthesized glissando.

Availability: The logo appears on They All Laughed and The City Girl.
