Background

MoonRay is a rendering software used by DreamWorks Animation to render their in-house 3D animated movie productions. On March 15, 2023, the software became open-source.

Logo (January 3, 2019-)

Visuals: There is a thin crescent with the text "MOONRAY" on it. The caption "RENDERED WITH" is seen on the top of the symbol.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The closing theme of the movie.

Availability: It debuted on How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, and has appeared on every film from DreamWorks Animation ever since. This logo does not appear on Spirit Untamed, despite the software being used for the rendering of said movie.
