Background

Multistory Media (formerly known as Shiver) is a British production company and a subsidiary of ITV Studios, being one of the largest providers of fictional entertainment in the UK. On May 23, 2019, Shiver was renamed to its current name.

Shiver

1st Logo (November 9, 2007-2013)

Logo: On a dimly lit teal background, two lines in a brighter and darker shade of blue swirl and form two curvy stars overlapping one another. Simultaneously, the text "Shiver" flies from the bottom, turns, and shakes letter by letter while it shines and retains its motion blur effect after each letter stop trembling. The finished product briefly rotates to the left before stopping.

Variant: Sometimes it shares the screen with other logos.

FX/SFX: The lines forming the stars and the text flying and shaking.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the program.

Availability: Common, appears on many documentaries, game shows, and reality shows from this period beginning with Emmerdale: The Dingle Family Album 2. It can be seen on The Corrie Years, The Butlin's Story, and series 1 of Paul O'Grady For the Love of Dogs.

2nd Logo (2013-Mid 2019)

Logo: While the teal text "Shiver" fades in one at a time, one star in the same shape as before zooms and rotates, suddenly stopping and then duplicating. The second star, brighter than the last, grows in size and rotates like the previous shape only to stop and overlap with most of the star. After that is finished, the byline fades in below. Typically, the 2013 ITV logo would appear below Shiver's.

Bylines:

  • 2013-2016: An ITV Studios company
  • 2016-2019: Part of ITV Studios

Variant: On David Jason: Planes, Trains and Automobiles, the logo appears within the UKTV Original Production logo.

FX/SFX: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the program.

Availability: Common. Like before, it was seen on many fictional and non-fictional programs from this period such as series 2 to 7 of Paul O'Grady For the Love of Dogs, Come Dine With Me and it's spin-offs, Carry On Forever, Last Laugh in Vegas, and many more.

Multistory Media

(Mid 2019-)

Logo: Multiple pieces of the stacked text "MULTISTORY MEDIA" flash in with different colors with some of which briefly flickering and then changing to white. In the middle of this sequence, the byline "PART OF ITV STUDIOS" fades in. The finished product has a line run through the words, slicing them in half. Like the 2nd Shiver logo, the ITV notice is usually present below.

Variants:

  • There is a version where the text "MULTISTORY MEDIA" is unstacked with the byline on the bottom right.
  • Sometimes, it shares the screen with other logos.

FX/SFX: The pieces flashing and flickering.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the program.

Availability: Current; appears on more recent episodes of Paul O'Grady For the Love of Dogs, Peston, Gino's Italian Escape, Life Stories, Come Dine With Me with it's spin-offs and The Martin Lewis Money Show as well as new shows and documentaries such as The Big Flower Fight, Drawers Off and Welcome To HMP Belmarsh With Ross Kemp, among others.
