Background

This is the vanity plate of Julie Plec. According to her, she wanted a company name that celebrated her defining characteristics, and originally went with Diet Coke and Camel Lights Inc., which didn't seem like the smartest way to go. The company name was later suggested by a friend of Plec for three reasons: celebrating one of the best TV series called My So-Called Life, writing love stories and reminding one of the favorite beautiful and fraught TV couples, and reflecting the belief that she is still only a so-called grownup.

(October 3, 2013-)

Logo: On a paper background, we see the words "MY" and "COMPANY" respectively, separated by two lines. Meanwhile, "SO-CALLED" writes over it. The logo zooms in very slowly.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • It sometimes shares the screen with other logos.

Technique: The text being written and the slow zoom-in.

Music/Sounds: Drawing sounds. Otherwise, none or the closing theme.

Availability: Seen on The Originals, Containment, Legacies, Roswell, New Mexico, The Endgame and the series adaptation of Vampire Academy.
