Background

NAC Productions Inc. was a production company owned by the little-known Los Angeles company Gold'n M Communications. Not much is known about them, other than they also operated a special-interest video division called NAC Home Video, and its parent company went inactive in the mid-90s.

Logo (October 21, 1989-May 28, 1993)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a gold coin with the large narrow text "NAC" embossed on it in the center. Below it, there is an embossed bar that reads "PRODUCTIONS INC.", and next to "NAC" there are two laurels on both sides. The logo shines from the top-left to the bottom-right, and the inside fades away to show a live-action video of a horse galloping in a desert. A byline reading "A Gold'N M Communications Company" fades in underneath the coin.

Variant: There is an extended, prototype version that begins with the company name colored in a gray-white gradient, without any sort of effects. Then, the coin fades in behind it, though it doesn't shine, and the rest of the animation is shorter.

Technique: A mix of 2D animation and live-action.

Audio: Either the closing theme of the program or a majestic orchestral fanfare (sampled from "Destiny" by Keith Mansfield, from the Bruton Music Library; the same theme used on the first ITC Film Distributors logo and MGM/UA Home Video's later "Coming Attractions" bumper).

Availability: Only known to have been seen on the 1989 television movie Nashville Beat and the game show Let's Go Back.
