Background

NBC International Ltd. was the international arm of the NBC Television Network.

Logo: Same as the 1979-1980 NBC network ID, but the words "NBC International Ltd. Presents" in a blue 3D font fade in below the logo.

Technique: Motion-controlled animation.

Audio: The 1953 NBC chimes theme.

Availability:

  • It was seen on international prints of some NBC-produced shows, such as Punky Brewster and the short-lived cartoon Kissyfur, among other series.
  • The logo is preserved only on the Shout! Factory season 1 DVD release of Punky Brewster.

2nd Logo (1986-1996)

Logo: Same as the 1986 NBC network ID, but when the "NBC" text flies under the NBC Peacock, the text "INTERNATIONAL, LTD. PRESENTS" fades in below with "PRESENTS" in a small font underneath "INTERNATIONAL, LTD.".

Technique: CGI designed by Marks Communications and animated by Pacific Data Images.

Audio: Same as before.

Availability:

  • This was last seen on the Starmaker print of Rage of Angels: The Story Continues and on a later print of the TV movie C.A.T. Squad.
  • It also appeared on a Movies24 airing of An Early Frost and a True Entertainment airing of In Defense of Kids.
