Background

Natsume Inc. was originally the American subsidiary of the Japanese Natsume, but starting in 1995, it became an independent company from the original Natsume, keeping the 1990-1998 Japanese Natsume logo. In 2013, the company had set up its division Natsume Inc. Japan to handle localization of Japanese games.

Logo (July 1992-)

Visuals: On a white, black, or a customized background, there is a purple box with the post-1990 Natsume logo inside. Below it is the text "Serious Fun".

Variants:

On Action in New York, the logo is paired with the Infogrames logo.
An earlier version of the logo exists where the slogan is absent.
On Ohimesama Debut for Nintendo DS, the logo is superimposed onto the staff credits.

Technique: A still, sprite-based graphic.

Audio: None or the opening/closing theme of the game.

Availability: Seen on virtually all Natsume games from the era starting with Spanky's Quest for Super NES, with the standard logo making its debut on Pocky & Rocky for SNES.
