Background
Network was a South African news program, operated by SABC.
Intro (1988-1989)
Visuals: On a black background, 5 red lines slide towards the center with the camera panning around them. A red globe surrounded by a silver block made out of the letters "N" zooms in and spins, as the letters disconnect and fly away, revealing the lines from before. A grey word "NETWORK" soon flies into the view from the globe, as the camera zooms out from it. The letters then connect back into the cube.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: An upbeat majestic synth piano theme with a whoosh in the start, ending with a 4-note synth tune.
