Background

NewKidCo. was an American video game publisher specializing in children's titles based on popular licenses. It was founded in 1997 and shuttered in 2005.

1st Logo (October 16, 1998-April 23, 2004)

Visuals: On a white background, a black frame with a yellow outline zooms out. The multicolored letters of the company name bounce on to the frame one-by-one. The dot above the letter "i" draws itself in.

Variant: A still version of the logo exists; sometimes, it is on a black background.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A whizzing sound as the frame zooms out, followed by "boing" sound effects. A female announcer says: "NewKidCo: Next generation games for next generation kids!". When the logo fades out, a sound effect is heard.

Availability: Seen on such games as Disney's Animated Storybook: Mulan, Hello Kitty's Cube Frenzy, Elmo's Letter Adventure, Elmo's Number Journey, Tom and Jerry in Fists of Furry, Tigger's Honey Hunt, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial: Interplanetary Mission, Tom and Jerry in War of the Whiskers, and Dr. Seuss: The Cat in the Hat (the final game to use this logo).

2nd Logo (December 13, 2002-March 14, 2003)

Visuals: On a black oval, a 3D version of NewKidCo wordmark is seen at an angle, casting a shadow on the shape.

Technique: A still, sprite-based graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Only seen on Dora the Explorer: The Search for Pirate Pig's Treasure and Tom and Jerry in Infurnal Escape for Game Boy Advance.
