Classic (1985-1990s)

ID: We see a man holding a Nick at Nite logo with a moon, then he creates a living room, including a TV. Then he grabs a remote, turning the TV into something.

FX/SFX: Stop Motion Animation.

Music/Sounds: Whatever sounds the variants have.

Factory (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: In a factory, we see workers making the Nick at Nite logo, but with a crescent moon. When they're done, the workers put the logo on an old TV.

FX/SFX: Live-action.

Music/Sounds: A joyful music, followed by a woman singing "Nick at Nite has delight to be all it's contact to be, in fact Nick at Nite is packed with exactly my kind of Classic TV!"

Crazy (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

WARNING: Do not watch the video if you're prone to epilepsy.

ID: In a brick background, we see the Nick at Nite logo in a heart, then the door opens then we see a white fish with spots, and pink eyes with a heart, then we zoom in to a head with the Nick At Nite logo as a star for the body. Then the background switches to a lot of backgrounds with crazy stuff.A lot of Nick at Nite logos in a lot of shapes do random stuff. After a few seconds, then a cage door shuts with the Nick at Nite logo as a triangle.

FX/SFX: 2D Animation.

Music/Sounds: A 50s like tune, with a woman singing "Hello out there from TV Land (not to be confused with the TV channel), Why don't you join us!". Then a man sings "Cause it's crazy, it's really crazy, it's Nick at Nite!"

Availability: Extinct.

Editor's Note: The rapid flashing, the fish, and the weird shapes can scare more than a few people or give them a headache. Others may simply find it annoying.


Better (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: We see 3 Nick at Nite logos in different shapes. Then a randomized number between 1 and 3 form to make different objects and random Nick at Nite logos in random shapes and colors. (think of a slot machine!) Then it turns into a dentist flossing someone's teeth. Then they form the Nick at Nite logo with a blue star.

FX/SFX: 2D Animation.

Music/Sounds: A crazy tune.

Balcony (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: On a night sky background in a downtown city, we see the Nick At Nite logo in the sky with a woman waiting patiently for something, then the logo zooms out, then the logo fades in the night sky, then returns to the sky.

FX/SFX: Cut-Out animation.

Music/Sounds: Blues music, followed by a woman singing, "If you suffer from a late night TV blues, it's Nick at Nite for the deja vuse". Then a man says "All night, every night."

Air Freshener (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: A car drives across the road in a desert and we see a sign of a coyote howling, a sign of the sun setting, then the Nick At Nite logo got sticked onto the TV, then we see the car drive into the road, and we can see a few cactuses.

FX/SFX: 2D Animation.

Music/Sounds: A country tune, followed by a man singing "When the coyotes howl and the sun sets low to the best TV you can always go to Nick at Nite".

How To (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: We see a Nick at Nite logo but with arms and legs and Elvis Presley hair holding a microphone, grooving near a TV, and on the TV, we can see a path of footprints, then we slide to the How to Nick at Nite logo. Then we see another Nick At Nite logo but with a girl's hair and arms and legs. She turns on the TV, turns the spect dial, then she jumps onto the chair, watching TV, then the Nick at Nite logo falls down.

FX/SFX: 2D Animation.

Music/Sounds: A 50s rock tune. The lyrics are "Come on everybody cause the time is right, we're gonna show you how to Nick at Nite!" Then a woman says "Just click on, turn the spect dial, and Nick at Nite!" And the "THUD!" sound at the end.

Beautiful Place (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: In a neighborhood, we see homes shaped like televisions with the Nick at Nite logo. We cut to a scene where a family cleans off the television with the Nick at Nite triangle logo. That's followed by some friends at the picnic looking at the television with Nick at Nite logos changing.

FX/SFX: Early Digital VFX. Done by Charlex.

Music/Sounds: A swing tune with a female vocal. "Hello out there from TV Land, A beautiful place to be. Nick at Nite, better living through good TV!"

Troglodyte (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: A mascot shaped like a blue circle sings what's going in in this ident. "If your boss is a jerk, and you get home from work, and feel like a troglodyte, There's instant relief from this heartshaping grief. Thank goodness for Nick at Nite!"

FX/SFX: Cel animation.

Music/Sounds: A crazy toon-like tune accompanying tha mascot's voice.

Spelling Bee (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: In a ciity, A white ball bounces on billboards that spell "NICK at NITE". The ball goes over the bridge and does the same thing again. Finally, the "at" is on a yellow background which folds into a moon shape that forms the Nick at Nite logo.

FX/SFX: 2D Animation from Arlen Schumer.

Music/Sounds: A conga tune with a female vocal spelling out the name's letters. Finally, the tune morphs into a relaxing orchestral music with a female chorus singing "Nick at Nite for me." then a male guy says "Better living through television".

Don't Adjust Your Set (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: An anamorphic dog sing in the spotlight with the shadow of a star from the Nick at Nite logo. "Hello out there from TV Land, Don't adjust your set! Nick at Nite, as classic as you can get! All night, Every night! Hoo!"

FX/SFX: 2D Animation.

Music/Sounds: A rock swing jingle to accompany the anamorphic dog.

If TV Sets Could Talk (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: In a 3D neighborhood, we see the family shaped like televisions watching the Nick at Nite logo. A daughter plays with a ping pong toy, while mom sings "If television sets could talk and they could turn off they shows they like to play, They all agreed for viewing delight, They rather be tuned to Nick at Nite!"

FX/SFX: Awesome, Not only entry-level, but intermediate CGI.

Music/Sounds: A dixieland theme to accompany the mother's singing.

Pre-Post Modern (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: We start off with a sky background, with a yellow border. Countless Nick at Nite logos move. A woman on a paper frame with a paper clip sings "When it's time to relax, there's only one place for better TV today. It's Pre-Post Modern, wild and free. Watch Nick at Nite for good TV."

FX/SFX: A combination of Live Action and 2D Animation.

Music/Sounds: A jazz tune to accompany the woman.

Perfect Combination (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: In a farm, A man digs up the dirt. Then, he puts miniature TV's in. He waters the dirt to watch the heart shaped Nick at Nite logos grow.

FX/SFX: A live action timelapse.

Music/Sounds: A tune with a wife singing "What is the perfect combination for a TV land sensation?" then a guitar riff plays. Then, a husband and wife duet sings "You and Nick at Nite naturally." Followed by a bass singing "That's right!".

ID: On a black background, we see 3 white outlined kids holding up three slide films. One of which carries the Nick at Nite logo.

Music/Sounds: A medium tempo surf tune with a chorus singing the name.

Personal Decision (Late 1980s - Mid 1990s)

ID: A blonde haired woman with a pink skirt enters the kitchen and holds a TV Dinner. She spins around and sings "I've made a personal decision to try better living through television but to make it right, I gotta have Nick at Nite!" She puts it in the microwave to cook until it dings. Finally, He takes out the dinner all heated up and holding the Nick at Nite logo.

FX/SFX: 2D Animation.

Music/Sounds: A piano and bongos theme to accompany the woman.
