(Late 1980s?-1990)

Nicknames: "Abstract N", "Golden N", "Nikkatsu in Hiragana", "Rippling N"

Logo: On a blue gradient background, we see many gold lines. They come together to form the outline of a circle with an abstract "N". The rest of the gold lines go to the abstract "N" and cause a flash, transforming the abstract "N" into gold. The hiragana "にっかつ" (which means "Nikkatsu") appears, and the logo shines, then the surface of the gold "N" ripples a bit.

FX/SFX: The gold lines moving, the flash, and the shine. Pretty good quality CGI for the time period.

Music/Sounds: None or the opening theme of the movie.

Availability: Seen on some video releases of Nikkatsu's films, including the Shuto Kosoku Trial series, and other Japanese VHS releases such as Destiny to Order, User Friendly, and the 1990 Night of the Living Dead remake, among others.

Editor's Note: None.
