Visuals: On a black background, there is a yellow warning sign with the text "WARNING-HEALTH AND SAFETY". Below them is "BEFORE PLAYING, READ YOUR OPERATIONS MANUAL FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY." Below that is the text "Also online at". with the grayish-blue url "www.nintendo.com/healthsafety/". Below that is "Press A to Continue.", which fades in and out. The "A" is inside a circle, kind of like the A button.

Variants:

• In Japan, the text is translated into Japanese and "www.nintendo.com/healthsafety/" is replaced with "www.nintendo.co.jp/anzen/".
• In some regions, the URL is white.
• On European prints of the console, the "warning" icon is yellow and the URL is in blue. The message is otherwise the same.
• A similar notice is shown when starting some later first-party GameCube titles. "OPERATIONS MANUAL" is replaced with "HEALTH AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS BOOKLET", "Also online at" is replaced with "TO GET AN EXTRA COPY FOR YOUR REGION, GO ONLINE AT", and "Press A to continue" is replaced with "Press any button to continue."

Technique: Fading effects.

Audio: When pressing the A button to advance the Wii Menu, a laser-like sound is heard.

Audio Variants: On the GameCube version, the "chirp" is omitted.

Availability:

• The standard versions are seen immediately upon booting a Nintendo Wii console.
• The GameCube version can be seen directly after the console's startup sequence when booting some later first-party titles, such as Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Mario Superstar Baseball. Both versions can be seen if you play one of these games on a backwards compatible Wii, with the Wii version appearing at boot, and the GameCube version appearing upon launching the game.
