Background

No Sleep Productions was a production company started by NBC executive Dick Ebersol.

Visuals: Over a black background, there is the stacked yellow text "This Has Been A NO SLEEP PRODUCTIONS, LTD. Presentation". Between "LTD." and "Presentation", there is an eye, which blinks twice. This fades to a copyright notice afterwards.

Variant: On Later with Bob Costas, a different font was used. Also, instead of fading into a copyright screen, it fades into the NBC Productions logo.

Technique: 2D animation by Cucumber Studios in London, which also animated the graphics used by Friday Night Videos from its inception to its rebranding in the early 90s.

Audio: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on pre-1989 episodes of Friday Night Videos and Later with Bob Costas.
