Background

Nordisk Film TV is a Danish television production company founded as the television arm of Nordisk Film in 1984. The company produces approximately 100 hours of television annually in genres such as entertainment, drama, facts, reality, children and branded entertainment. In 2009, the company was acquired by Banijay Group, making it a separate company from Nordisk Film.

1st Logo (1984)

Visuals: On a gray background, we see the stylized "NFTV" and the polar bear symbol inside a circle. A notice for Danmarks Radio is also seen. The background changes to baby blue.

Technique: The background changing.

Audio: The ending theme of the program.

Availability: Seen only on the Anthonsen miniseries.

2nd Logo (1998-2005)

Visuals: A shortened version of the 1998 Nordisk Film logo, but the words "NORDISK FILM TV" replace "NORDISK FILM". Also, the byline is translated to be read as "Et Egmont selskab" ("An Egmont Company" in Danish).

Variant: Sometimes, the Egmont byline is replaced with a TV4 copyright stamp.

Technique: Same as the 1998 Nordisk Film logo.

Audio: Same as the 1998 Nordisk Film logo.

Availability: Seen at the end of some Nordisk Film TV shows, such as the game show Lykkehjulet (the Danish version of Wheel of Fortune).

3rd Logo (2005-2011, 2019)

Visuals: Same as the 2005 Nordisk Film logo, but it's shortened to the last few seconds.

Variants:

  • There is an alternate version of the logo, where the bear smacks its paws on top of the ice.
  • Starting in 2009, a Banijay byline was added below, "NORDISK FILM TV" replaces "NORDISK FILM" and the box is removed.

Technique: Same as the last few seconds of the short Nordisk Film logo.

Audio: Same as the last few seconds of the short Nordisk Film logo.

Availability: Seen at the end of some Nordisk Film TV shows and documentaries at the period.

4th Logo (2009-2012)

Visuals: We pan through some silver circles. Some more circles place and arrange themselves onto the thicker circles while a light shines. As the circles turn white, "NORDISK FILM TV", a few key locations and the Nordisk Film bear symbol fade into the center. The Banijay byline is also in one of the circles on the right.

Technique: CGI by FRAME.

Audio: An orchestral choir theme.

Availability: This was a short-lived logo made after the acquisition of the company by Banijay.

5th Logo (2012-2017)

Visuals: Same as the 2011 Banijay Group logo, but the "B" is gray and "Nordisk Film TV" replaces "Banijay Group". The byline "A Banijay Group Company" also fades in below.

Variants:

  • There is a variant where copyright info is seen below.
  • Sometimes, the logo is white on a black background.

Technique: Same as the 2011 Banijay Group logo.

Audio: Same as the 2011 Banijay Group logo.

Availability: Seen at the end of some Nordisk Film TV shows and documentaries.

6th Logo (2017-2021)

Visuals: At the mirrored lake, we zooming out to the letter "o" for revealing the Nordisk Film TV logo from before with the byline "We are Banijay" at the bottom.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A wind sound, followed by a synth theme.

Availability: Seen at the end of some Nordisk Film TV shows and documentaries such as early seasons of Kongen befaler.

7th Logo (2020-)

Visuals: On a complicated purple and black background, a purple colored drop moves up to the screen. It is actually a circle, which duplicates into two on top of each other. A line moves up, making the circles combine and turn into the current Banijay logo, while the line separates "Nordisk Film TV" and "We are Banijay" slide from the line.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Some sound effects to go with the actions, like a clap, triangle hit and some more.

Availability: First spotted on Oscar 2022: Prisuddeling. This logo actually debuted in 2020, but for corporate purposes only.
