ORTO '98
Background
This was the host broadcaster for the Olympic Winter Games Nagano 1998 which was set up by the Nagano Olympic Organizing Committee (NAOC) and the Japan Consortium.

Visuals: There is the Nagano 1998 symbol with the words The XVIII Olympic Winter Games, Nagano 1998 in bronze (with the last two words being capitalized) on an ice rink. An ice skater later skates through the rink which splits into four different skaters forming the Olympic Rings. After that, footage of people playing Winter Olympic sports and several Nagano 1998 venues are shown while the middle top one is left unchanged as the rings disappear and only the skier is shown. Then, the background fades to what looks like the inside of a clock with the names of the nations that participated in the Games at that time appearing while the man moves closer. Then, it briefly transitions to a figure skater as it spins to a flame, the flame later cuts to a hockey team inside of it. The hockey player later hits the puck and flies through the mountains. Later, a CG shot of the Zenkō-ji temple is seen which later fades to white.
Variants:
- The intro is also shortened during competitions with a gold pictogram for the sport appearing after the hockey player hits the puck.
- Another short version has the fading into a white background after the flame, followed by the Nagano 1998 emblem logo.
Technique: A mix of live-action footage and CGI.
