Background

Ohlmeyer Communications Company was the production company of producer and television executive Don Ohlmeyer.



1st Logo (March 20, 1983)


Visuals: On a space background with zooming colorful lines is the globe rotating the outlined letter "O". Then the "O" moves and two "CC"s appears. Then the "OCC" wordmark zooms out to reveal the text "OHLMYER COMMUNICATIONS COMPANY" with "COMPANY" spacing out and smaller.

Technique: Scanimate with computer effects.

Audio: A six-note futuristic synthesizer sounder.

Availability: Seen on the 1983 TV movie Special Bulletin.

2nd Logo (October 27, 1985)


Visuals: Over a black background is the dark green-blue lines to form the words:

OHLMEYER
COMMUNICATIONS
COMPANIES

The lines then fade out, and the text fades out later.

Technique: Fading effects.

Audio: The end title theme of the TV movie.

Availability: Seen on the 1985 TV movie Crime of Innocence.

3rd Logo (February 9, 1986-October 6, 1991)


Visuals: Over a dark blue background is so many lines zooming in from the right, and as they do that, they flip to the center a bit, and they have made three letters, "OCC", they have connected each other. The words underneath appear:

Variants: A short version exists. Sometimes, there is "Distributed by" appears above the company's name.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A whoosh with a synth horn fanfare.

Availability: Seen on The 1987 Rancho Murieta Senior Gold Rush on ESPN. The short version appeared on The Heroes of Desert Storm and Christmas in Aspen.
