Background

The Oklahoma State University System is a university system comprising six educational institutes across Oklahoma. During the 1960s and 1970s, the university also produced educational films.

(1971)

Logo: On a black background, a stylized red "S" with its two ends extended, slowly zooms in. While this happens, a red "O" moves in from the left of the screen and a red "U" moves in from the right. The "O", the "S" and the "U" eventually settle into place, forming a stylized "OSU" monogram, which shines for a bit. After the monogram shines, a white circle appears behind it, encircling the "OSU". After a while, the logo cuts to the same monogram, this time white, over a red background, with the words "OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY" in black below it. The logo then fades out seconds after.

Technique: The letters zooming, the shining, the circle and the color changing.

Music/Sounds: A synthesized piece with a whoosh for the shining.

Availability: So far, it exists on the NBC News/Films Incorporated TV special This Child Is Rated X, which is only known to exist as a 16mm film print.
