Background

Oliver Productions was the vanity card for John McLaughlin.

(January 1, 1982-August 12, 2016)

Nickname: "Oliver the Dog"

Logo: On a white background, we see a green "O" spinning, shifting to the left. As it stops spinning and shiftiing, "LIVER PRODUCTIONS, INC." appears next to it:

OLIVER PRODUCTIONS, INC.

"O" is larger than the rest of the letters in "OLIVER", while "PRODUCTIONS, INC." is smaller. Inside the "O" is a white dog with brown spots, which barks once.

FX/SFX: The "O" shifting, the text and dog appearing, and the dog barking.

Music/Sounds: The sound of the dog barking once.

Availability: Extinct; seen on The McLaughlin Group. It was also seen on John McLaughlin's One-on-One as well. Both usually had WTTW's logo of the time coming after if you watched it on PBS (except when you saw The McLaughlin Group on one of the NBC O&Os that air it that mean that the WTTW logo won't be shown, so it's a hard call).
