Background

Omni Video Cassette was a Hong Kong home video distributor.

Logo (1980)

Visuals: On a zooming-in starfield, a yellow letter "V" zooms in from the top, and the letters "O" and "C" soon slide in from the said letter. The yellow text "MNI IDEO ASSETTE" appears, and a white obtuse angle shape containing the black text "OMNI VIDEO CASSETTE" and "奧美錄影", as well as several colorful copies under it and a white circle with 2 half-straight and half-curved lines, as well as a circular part cut out below wipes in through a circle transition. The text in Chinese soon zooms in and turns yellow, as the logo fades out.

Technique: Computer graphics.

Audio: A held-out woodwind synth note accompanied by an arpeggiating synth score, followed by an announcer saying "Omni Video Cassette presents...". A cheerful-sounding synth theme is heard afterwards, followed by an announcer saying the company name in Chinese.

Availability: Seen on a VHS release of Goose Boxer.
