Background

One Hundred Years of Film (100YF) is a production company and subsidiary for China Star Entertainment Group founded in 1999 by Charles Heung after the demise of Win's Production Limited.

1st logo (1999)

Logo: Just the text "One Hundred Years of Film" with the Chinese text above.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Only appeared on early films.

Legacy: The logo is just a placeholder for the next logo.

2nd Logo (2000-2001)

Logo: On a pink-green background, we see some spines forming on a ring as we zoom out to reveal a silhouette of Confucius behind the sun, with the face in a hole-style. The text "One Hundred Years of Film" zooms along with the Chinese text above in a golden box and finally, the logo sets up to the center with the text below.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: Factory sounds or opening theme of the film.

Availability: Rare. Appeared after the 2nd or 3rd China Star Entertainment group and before the Milkyway Image or Film Unlimited logo

3rd Logo (2000-2009)

Logo: On a zooming space background (just like China Star Entertainment Group logo), a flash appears and the previous logo in orange zooms out quickly and shines, before fading out.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Rare. Appeared after the China Star Entertainment Group logo and before the co-producer logo (Milkyway Image/Film Unlimited/etc.).
