Background

Optreve was a DVD enhancement system developed and operated by Screenlife Games for their series of DVD board games.

1st logo (2002-2003)

Logo: On a white background, we see two red crescents stretched on the left. There is a point in that same color, seen inside them. All together it forms a spinning optical disc. The word “OPTREVE” is below, with “DVD ENHANCEMENT TECHNOLOGY” under that.

Technique: None.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on the earliest Screenlife games, starting with the original Scene It?.

2nd Logo (2003-2012)

Logo: On a black background, an optical disc flies in from the bottom of the screen and is enveloped by a blue vortex, forming the two crescents from before. They zoom out, revealing "OPTREVE", and "DVD ENHANCEMENT TECHNOLOGY", which are both also in silver, after which the vortex fades out and the oval appears in between the crescents, creating the same logo from before. The completed logo remains for a couple seconds before fading out.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Three synth-piano notes, a couple of electronic drumbeats, and five more piano notes.

Availability: Seen on most post-2003 Screenlife games.
