Background

Outrage Games was formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan after Paralax Software split up in 1997; the second Parallax office in Champaign, Illinois formed Volition. In 2002, the company was acquired by THQ and soon after, it was closed.

(June 17, 1999-October 3, 2003)

Logo: The picture is filled with blue dust, which is then removed and we see "Outrage" with "games" below, with an empty semi-arc hanging near them. There is a website below. The dust compresses and moves into the arc, coloring it blue.

Variants:

  • On Alter Echo, the logo appears on an orange background and casts a shadow.
  • On Descent 3, the logo is superimposed over the intro movie, and has "entertainment" in place of "games".

FX/SFX: The dust moving and shining.

Music/Sounds: Whoosh sounds.

Availability: Seen on Red Faction 2, Alter Echo, and Descent 3.

Editor's Note: None.
