Background

This was the home video division of the publishing company Oxford University Press, of the University of Oxford.

Logo (1989)

Visuals: On a navy background, three stacked RGB crowns fade in order respectively, then zooms away to stand upwards as they turn white. A white open book flips in under the crowns, and the stacked words "Oxford English Video" fades under.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: Three Moog-like synth notes with flourishes, with a deep echoed 'hit' as the crowns zoom, then a held out synth note.

Availability: Seen on the Project Video 1-3 tapes. It may have also appeared on other tapes by the publisher.
