Background

Power and Magic Development (commonly known as PAM Development) was a French game developer founded in 1995 in Paris, formerly part of Infogrames. In 2005, it was acquired by Take-Two Interactive and was closed in 2008.

1st Logo (1995-July 23, 1998)

Visuals: On a black background, a blue cap with yellow stars and a magic wand under it is seen in a spotlight. Below it is "POWER AND MAGIC DEVELOPMENT".

Variant: On Waterworld for Game Boy, the logo is black-and-white and bit-crushed on a white background. "A GAME BY" also appears above.

Technique: A still, sprite-based graphic.

Audio: None, or the opening theme of the game.

Availability: Was used on Snow Racer for PlayStation and Waterworld for Game Boy.

2nd Logo (May 20, 2000-August 2008)

Visuals: On a white background, the same hat from before is seen to the right of "PAM". Below it is "power and magic DEVELOPMENT", with the former being in a mix on gray and red, and the latter being black. Sometimes, "www.pamdev.com" is seen below.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: It appeared on Top Spin, Ronaldo V-Football, Ultimate Beach Soccer, and the Nintendo DS port of Top Spin 3.

3rd Logo (March 29, 2006-June 27, 2008)

Visuals: On a white background, a pixelated orange line appears and flips up, sharpening in the process. It reveals to be "PAM" next to a box with the hat silhouette, along with the URL on the bottom. The logo then shines once before quickly sliding to the right.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A sliding synth and a single heartbeat.

Availability: It was seen on Top Spin 2 and Top Spin 3 for all platforms except Nintendo DS.
