Background

PES is the vanity card and pseudonym of animator Adam Pespane, who produces stop-motion short films and commercials. His best known works include Roof Sex, KaBoom!, Game Over, Western Spaghetti, and Fresh Guacamole, the latter of which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2013.

Logo (January 21, 2008-April 19, 2019)

Visuals: Over a custom-colored background is the 2D, beveled text reading "PES" with a white outline and the whole logo with a black border.

Variants:

  • The color usually varies on each short film and set of commercials.
  • Sometimes, from the 2010's, the background is black as well as the fill of the text.
  • Occasionally, the logo has a gradient shadow within its bottom portion.
  • On Dogs of War, the logo is sepia-toned.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on most of PES' works from YouTube uploads of earlier short films such as Game Over, Roof Sex, Dogs and War, and many more, as well as commercials for Coinstar, PSP, among others. After The Fish, PES' shorts no longer start or end with any logo.
