Background

Successor to Program Partners.

1st Logo (2010-)

Visuals: Against a white background, there is the text:

PPi
RELEASING

A blue tube TV sits in place of the dot in the "i".

Variant: An in-credit variant is seen on US airings of Steven and Chris.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The end theme.

Availability: Seen on EP Daily. The in-credit variant can be seen on Steven and Chris on select US local stations and on Live Well Network.

2nd Logo (2015?-)

Visuals: On a static-filled rounded rectangle against a light blue background, the letters "PPI" stretch in (the first P from the left, the second P zooming in, and the I from the top). A tube TV squishes the I and the word "RELEASING" fades in from the left. The logo zooms out to reveal everything was in the screen of the TV on the PPI logo, as the print logo from above is seen larger on a black background with "PPi" in light gray. The antennae of the TV wave around before stopping, with the screen fading out.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: Whooshing sounds as the letters come in, a shining effect right after, a pounding effect when the logo zooms out, and a buzzing sound when the screen disappears. During all this there is a droning synth note in the background, similar to the HBO logo.

Availability: Seen on US prints of CityLine and syndicated prints of The Listener. It also appears on Just For Laughs Gags.
