Background

PTA, standing for Porno Televisie Amsterdam was a pirate television channel in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The channel broadcast pornography, like most Dutch pirate channels. At the time, pornographic broadcasts were illegal in the Netherlands.

Logo (1980-1981)

Visuals: A single sheet of paper with the printed text "U KIJKT NAAR PTA PORNO TELEVISIE AMSTERDAM P.O. BOX 8977 1006 JD" and what looks like a small black house icon. The page appears slightly crooked and gets manually adjusted as the logo goes on.

Technique: None.

Audio: A series of strange beeps followed by a song.

Availability: Seen at the end of a broadcast by the channel from 1980.
