Background

Palatinus Film, also known as Palatinus Filmterjesztõ Vállalat, was a film production and rental company from Budapest, Hungary started by Antal Güttler and Márton Kálmán on April 1938 known to be one of the most reliable film circles, with the company transformed after the departure of Hungarian actor Márton Kálmán on 1939. The company initially produced propagandistic films such as Észak felé and Kelet felé, but then moved to romantic comedies such as Rózsáfabot and Kadettszerelem, which proved to be a commercial success.[1]
