Background

This is the vanity card of Paul Germain and Joe Ansolabehere, the creators of Recess and Lloyd in Space. The former was also the co-creator of Rugrats, and the latter was a developer for Hey Arnold!.

Logo (February 3, 2001-January 28, 2012)

Visuals: In a still picture, there is a black-and-white photograph of Paul and Joe as children in a city, next to 2 more photographs. Above and below the photo there are respectively, the phrases "A Paul & Joe" and "Production". A spotlight shines over the picture and the logo shakes like an old film.

Later Variant: Starting in 2010, the logo is still. Also there are fully visible pictures on both sides.

Technique: 2D computer animation with live-action photographs. The later variant is a digital graphic with the photographs.

Audio: Depends on the show.

  • Lloyd in Space and Recess: The closing theme of the show.
  • Recess direct-to-video movies: A short piano ditty.
  • Pound Puppies: A group of puppies barking that continues into the 9 Story Entertainment and later the DHX Media logos.
  • On the pilot episode of Pound Puppies, it's silent.

Availability: Seen on Lloyd in Space, two Recess DTV movies (Taking the Fifth Grade and All Growed Down), and the first season of Pound Puppies. It was also seen on the ABC and UPN airings of Recess.
