Background

This is the production company of Paul Brownstein.

Logo (1994- )

Visuals: There is the text "PAUL BROWNSTEIN" that rotates throughout. When the logo stops rotating, the word "PRODUCTIONS" appears in stop motion in a blinds effect.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the words "DISTRIBUTED BY" appear above "PAUL BROWNSTEIN" before "PRODUCTIONS" appears.
  • In later years, the URL text "www.tvclassics.com" slides in at the bottom from the right side of the screen (a la Paramount Television).
  • In the late 2000s, the logo was redone in a different font and with a motion blur when the logo is spinning.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A fast-paced big band tune.

Audio Variant: On The Best of American Bandstand on VH1, its the tail end of the 1989 Dick Clark Productions theme.

Availability: Can be seen on syndicated prints of Sonny and Cher, The Color Honeymooners, Here's Lucy, The Dick Van Dyke Show, That Girl and The Richard Pryor Show, among others. This logo has plastered over older Paramount Television logos on FETV and Cozi TV airings of Here's Lucy.
