1st Logo (1999-2003)

Visuals: The camera travels through a computer-generated forest with purple mist seen. The camera moves down below as the letters "PEP" in silver are revealed on the grass. A yellow/white sprout comes out from the ground and rises up, as the camera focuses on it. The camera moves back with "PEP" once again revealed. The screen then changes into a blue sky, with the sprout and "PEP" turning golden. The text flips as hands and a curved diamond-style shape outline fly in from the bottom to the center. Then the text "人民教育电子音像出版社" with a blue light ray zooms out below the forming logo. The diamond and "PEP" stop spinning, and the logo slightly shines.

Visuals: A computer mouse and a disc are seen wiping in, while the background changes into blue with several computer-related imagery shown. The text "PEOPLE'S EDUCATION ELECTRONIC & AUDIOVISUAL PRESS" types in different positions at varying sizes. These later fade out, as the background turns darker and several green matrix-style elements and blue scrolling lights appear. A disc comes out flying from the center and settles into view, as two stars appear and move down from the sides of it. The disc moves back as it fades out and the sprout logo is revealed, with the hands shown below it. The curved diamond shape appears spinning in front of the logo, and then the "PEP" appears below it. The background brightens again as sparkles are seen moving around. The names, "人民教育电子音像出版社" and "PEOPLE'S EDUCATION ELECTRONIC & AUDIOVISUAL PRESS" in silver, flip into view. A light flare then passes through the text, before the screen fades out.
