Background
The Phillips arm of LaserVision.
1st Logo (Early 1980s)
Visuals: On a space background, blue lasers suddenly shoot left upwards to form the "PHILIPS" text, then they shoot downwards to form the "LaserVision" text. After that, a huge blue laser goes down and becomes a rainbow LaserVision logo that flips from the left to face the camera.
Technique: Cel animation.
Audio: An analog synth increasing in pitch alongside a synthesized warbling background, with laser beam sounds for each letter and the final one for the logo coming later than usual, and when all this finishes, an ascending analog synth riff.
Availability: Seen on PAL releases of laserdiscs from Phillips. [Examples?]
