Background

This is Piere Cossette's vanity card.

1st Logo (1977-1985?)

Logo: On a sky blue background, we see the text "Pierre Cossette PRODUCTIONS" flipping in.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo would be in-credit.
  • On Sha Na Na, the logo is orange.
  • On some episodes of The Glen Campbell Music Show, "PRODUCTIONS" is missing.

Technique: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Sha Na Na, Salute!, Grammy TV specials, The Glen Campbell Music Show and The Promise of Love, although the logo is blacked out on public domain prints of the latter.

2nd Logo (1985-1990?)

Logo: On a black background, the words "Pierre" and "Cossette" zooms out in 3D one by one flying in at the same time. The word "Productions" zooms up with a light blue trailing effect, and the logo sparkles.

Variants:

  • The logo appears superimposed into the credits.
  • Sometimes, the logo is still.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on several Grammy specials as well as Too Young the Hero. It first debuted on The 27th Annual Grammy Awards.

3rd Logo (1989-1994?)

Logo: On a purple marble background, with spotlights, we see the 3D letters "COSSETTE" flying out letter by letter. The word "PIERRE" zooms in letter by letter at the same and the letters "PRODUCTIONS" slides in, while the movement stops.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on specials like The Will Rogers Follies, Kathie Lee Gifford... Looking for Christmas and The Harry Connick Jr. Christmas Special. It first debuted on The 31st Annual Grammy Awards.
