Background
Pixar RenderMan (formerly PhotoRealistic RenderMan) is proprietary photorealistic 3D rendering software produced by Pixar Animation Studios. Pixar uses RenderMan to render their in-house 3D animated movie productions and it is also available as a commercial product licensed to third parties. In 2015, a free non-commercial version of RenderMan became available.
1st Logo (September 1, 1989-June 21, 2013)
Visuals: There is an bouncing ball leaving over trails. On the right of the symbol is the Pixar logo on top of the text "RenderMan". There is an trademark symbol on the top right of the logo.
Variant: On the logo's earliest years, the font for "RenderMan" is diffrent, and the Pixar logo is absent.
- On films such as WALL-E, the logo only features the "Pixar's Renderman" text without the ball logo.
Technique: A still graphic.
Audio: The closing theme of the movie/short.
Availability:
- The logo appeared on Knick Knack, and later on The Incredibles, Cars, Brave and Monsters University.
