Background
Pixar RenderMan (formerly PhotoRealistic RenderMan) is proprietary photorealistic 3D rendering software produced by Pixar Animation Studios. Pixar uses RenderMan to render their in-house 3D animated movie productions and it is also available as a commercial product licensed to third parties. In 2015, a free non-commercial version of RenderMan became available.
1st Logo (October 24, 2004-July 18, 2008, June 10, 2012-June 5, 2013)
Technique: A still graphic.
Audio: The closing theme of the movie.
Availability:
- The logo appeared on The Incredibles, Cars, and later reappeared on Brave and Monsters University.
- This logo also appeared on two Vanguard Animation films, Valiant (their first film) and Space Chimps.
2nd Logo (May 18, 2015-)
Technique: A still graphic.
Audio: The closing theme of the movie.
Availability: Debuted on Inside Out, and has appeared on every Pixar film since then.
