Background
Planeta DeAgostini (originally known as Planeta Agostini) is a home media division of DeAgostini aimed to the Spanish and Portuguese markets. It was formed in 1986.
Planeta Agostini
1st Logo (1986?-1992?)
Visuals: Just a static image of the on-screen company's logo zooming in from a black background. It consists of a circle with thin segmented lines expanding in size further away from the bottom in blue and red. Over it is an abstract "U" shape with thin segmented lines expanding in size from the top, also in blue and red. Below all of it is the text "PLANETA-AGOSTINI".
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio: None.
Availability: Can be seen on early Planeta Agostini tapes, such as Once Upon a Time... Life and Carl Sagan's Cosmos.
2nd Logo (1992?-Mid 1990s?)
Visuals: Over a black background is the 3D Planeta Agostini logo with the text "PLANETA AGOSTINI" behind it. The text begins to move as it rotates and stands in place.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A whoosh.
Availability: Seen on Argentine Descubrir el Mundo tapes and other tapes such as Cuentilandia - Pinocho.
3rd Logo (Early 1990s?-2001)
Visuals: Same as before, only with the logo being in 2D and the text in DeAgostini's corporate font, with different movements.
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio: The whoosh from before or a different whoosh.
Availability: Seen on early 1990's-2000's releases from the era, such as Pokémon.
Planeta DeAgostini
Logo (2001-)
Visuals: Grey globe slices float in over a black background. Suddenly, the company name "PLANETA DeAGOSTINI" in white and the URL fades in, as the slices form into the globe.
Variant: The URL's "es" country code is changed on releases in Portugal ("pt") and Brazil ("br").
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A slashing whoosh sound.
Availability: It was seen on DVD and VHS releases at the time.
