Background

Pokémon USA, Inc. was the American subsidiary of The Pokémon Company, founded in 2001 to handle licensing of the Pokémon franchise in North America. 4Kids Entertainment held a 3% stake in the unit, which was liquidated in March 2006. In 2009, Pokémon USA merged with Pokémon UK (TPC's European subsidiary) to form a single international unit.

Logo (October 11, 2002-October 28, 2005)

Visuals: On a black background with a shining light on the top left is the metallic with a black border text "Pokémon USA, Inc." The light shines until the background turns white. The text then shines.

Variant: On Pokémon 4Ever, a filmed version of this logo is used.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A set of rattling sounds as the text zooms out, then a held-out string synth note, and a zapping sound as it shines. Pokemon 4Ever has the same chime sound that continues to the 4Kids Entertainment logo with a bang sound.

Availability:

  • First seen on Pokémon 4Ever after the 4Kids Entertainment logo.
  • It's also seen on Pokémon Team Turbo and Pokémon Masters Arena for the PC.
