Background
Polonia 1 is one of the first Polish commercial television channels, consisting at first of a network of 12 local TV stations in bigger cities. The channel began broadcasting on air since March 7, 1993. As of 2012 it currently holds 0.06% of the audience share.
1st Logo (1993-1994)
Logo: We see a blue gradient wall with segmented lines. A 3D camera is seen flying up and outwards towards the center. A 3D red 1 falls and spins clockwise vertically and the 3D text "Polonia" in gray flies and turns from the left side of the screen. The text places itself in front of the 1 as the camera starts spinning vertically, counterclockwise. The text shrinks and turns 90° to the left and places itself next to the 1. Both the 1 and text slide to the right before the camera stops spinning.
Technique: Early CGI.
Music/Sounds: A choir singing in Polish twice. Before the singing is repeated, a synth pop tune plays.
Availability: Extinct.
2nd Logo (1994-1996)
Logo: On a space background, we see the Earth zooming out and spinning. The letters of the word "Polonia" appear whilst flying and rotating until placing themselves on the bottom of the screen. A large red 1 drops down, placing itself behind Polonia. The text then rotates 90° and places itself on the left of the 1, and they move to the left side of the screen. The Earth then stops rotating.
Technique: Early CGI.
Music/Sounds: A short synth theme.
Availability: Extinct.
