Background

This was the Japanese branch of Polydor. In 1992, Polydor Co., Ltd. and Nippon Phonogram were both folded into PolyGram Co., Ltd. (now Universal Music Japan).

1st Logo (1980s-1990s)

Visuals: On a purple background, there is a tiny Polydor print logo, with Japanese text in white on top of and next to it. The text states the following:

Variant: A variant exists where the logo is on a black background.
