Background
This was the Japanese branch of Polydor. In 1992, Polydor Co., Ltd. and Nippon Phonogram were both folded into PolyGram Co., Ltd. (now Universal Music Japan).
1st Logo (198?-199?)
Logo: On a purple background, we see a tiny Polydor print logo, with Japanese text in white on top and next to it. The text states the following:

ポリドール株式会社 (Polydor Co. LTD)
Variant: A variant exists, where the logo is on a black background.
