Background

Power Video was a Brazilian distributor founded in 1990.[1] They released films such as Animalympics and Driven to Kill.

1st Logo (1990)

Visuals: The logo (which contains a horse surrounded by "POWER" at the top and "VIDEO" at the bottom with the bottom (for "POWER") and top (for "VIDEO") being bent to form a tilted oval) appears, translucent and bathed in golden chrome, before stock footage of fire. After 10 seconds, the logo gradually fades to white.

Technique: Analog video juxtaposition

Audio: An excerpt of "Overture" from The Ten Commandments soundtrack by Elmer Bernstein.

Availability: Seen on very early releases by this company, such as The Car That Ate Paris.
