Background

Pozzitive Television is a production company founded by Geoff Posner and David Tyler. They have produced many radio and TV shows for several decades, many of which lean towards comedy and stand-up routines. As of today, they solely focus on radio programmes.

Logo (September 16, 1989-December 20, 2008)

Visuals: On a white wall background, there is a black bar in the center. On the top portion of it is "A" with three stars to the right and left. Underneath it, the bar shrinks and "POZZITIVE" stretches down. Once the bar stops shrinking, "TELEVISION" fades in, followed by the section underneath it to get torn and fall down, revealing additional in-credit text or a co-producer's logo.

Variants:

• A still version exists.
• Sometimes, "TELEVISION" is replaced with "PRODUCTION".
• An early version exists, where the company name is already formed, albeit with the top half less stretched and "TELEVISION" replaced with "PRODUCTION". Rather than tear the bar in half, it shrinks upwards to unveil the co-producer's logo. Plus, it is also on a clear white background.
• On A Carlton New Year, the logo is inside a box, now reading "THE POZZITIVE PRODUCTION COMPANY". It is also paired with the Michael Hurll Productions logo and against a black-blue gradient background.
• On Dinnerladies, the logo is positioned on the right, appearing on the same row as the Good Fun logo.
• On the ITV Panto pantomine "Dick Whittington", the logo is within a box and positioned on the left. Plus, "PRODUCTION" is added underneath "TELEVISION".
• On Little Miss Jocelyn, only "POZZITIVE" within a rectangular box is shown.
• It also sometimes shares the screen with the other logos (including the 1986 LWT and the 1988 and 1997 BBC logos).

Audio: A tearing sound.

Audio Variants:

• On earlier programmes by the company, two different tear sounds were used.
• Sometimes, none or the ending theme of the programme.

Availability:

• Seen on several comedy programmes over the span of three decades, making its first appearance on The Robbie Coltrane Special and ending on the One Night Only episode starring Tom Jones.
• It was also seen on Dinnerladies, which the Blu-ray release has this logo intact, however one print removed it.
• The early variant can be found on The Robbie Coltrane Special and Josie.
• The animated variant made its last appearance on Cows.
