Background
Prathima Films was a film company formed in India in 1981 by Pranlal V. Mehta.
1st Logo (3 July, 1981-23 September, 1988)
Logo: A statue of Ganesh appears with sparkles animating in the background. Afterwards, a P symbol slowly forms line by line, and the company's name "Prathima Films" appear letter by letter.
Variant: On Woh Phir Aayegi, only the statue of Ganesh is shown, which is now shown close-Up to its face. It is also deteriorated, showing a pinkish color to it.
FX/SFX: The statue appearing, the sparkles, and the logo forming.
Music/Sounds: An Indian male singing, followed by a synth theme.
Availability: Uncommon, seen on Hum Se Badkar Kaun, Bezuban, Dharm Aur Qanoon, Love 86, and Woh Phir Aayegi.
Editor's Note: None.
2nd Logo (August 17, 1990)
Logo: We see footage of a different statue of Ganesh, as it zooms in to its face for a few seconds. It then zooms out, as "PRATHIMA FILMS'" fades in below it.
FX/SFX: Live-Action, with the exception of the text.
Music/Sounds: Same as the 1st logo.
Availability: Rare, only seen on Jawani Zindabad.
Editor's Note: None.
3rd Logo (March 27, 1998)
Logo: On a black background, we see 3 bronze rectangles zoom out, forming a "P", which looks similar to the 1st logo's, except the rectangle at the end is longer. It then flashes as "Prathima Films" turns and zooms out to stop next to the P. The P then stops shining, as some light wipes on it.
FX/SFX: Simple, but pretty nice CGI animation for the late 90s.
Music/Sounds: A deep piano note, followed by a calm piano piece.
Availability: Rare, only seen on Yugpurush.
Editor's Note: This a lot tamer than the last two, thanks to the calm music and CGI. However, the P still looks like an "F".
