Background

Premo Animation System is the proprietary software developed and used in-house by DreamWorks Animation in the animation of its features and short films beginning with How to Train Your Dragon 2. Unlike Moonray, Premo is not available for sale and is only used by DreamWorks. As a result, little is known outside DreamWorks about the detailed workings of this software.
