Background

Premo Animation System is the proprietary software developed and used in-house by DreamWorks Animation in the animation of its features and short films. Unlike Moonray, Premo is not available for sale and is only used by DreamWorks. As a result, little is known outside DreamWorks about the detailed workings of this software.

1st Logo (February 22, 2019-November 17, 2023)

Visuals: The words "premo" is seen in a light font, with the "mo" being bolder, aligned to a bent, upwards line.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The closing theme of the movie.

Availability: First seen on How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and was last seen on Trolls: Band Together.

2nd Logo (March 8, 2024-)

Visuals: The words "Premo" is shown in a cartoony font, with an open, smiling mouth with two teeth for the O's hole.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The closing theme of the movie.

Availability: Debuted on Kung Fu Panda 4.
