Background
Pro-Kids Productions, Inc. is a Nashville, Tennessee-based production company formed in 1986 by two Trevecca University graduates, Greg Page and Steven Pennington, and known for producing video and television productions for kids (hence the name Pro-Kids), mostly for religious TV networks. Their most famous productions are The Pro-Kids Show and The Trollies sing-along videos. Today, Pro-Kids is more commonly known as PK Pictures (as Greg Page has founded it in 1983 under this name). The taping facilities used by Pro-Kids for The Trollies, on its side, is today called NuMynd Studios. Both operate in the building where Pro-Kids operated.
Logo (1988-1997)
Visuals: Over a blue background, there is black oval with the company name on the left, aligned like this:
Pro
Kids
Productions, Inc.
The "Pro-Kids" name is in a strange blue font, while "Productions, Inc." is in a Century Gothic font. Then, next to the name, an eyeless kid with a white and red cap marked with "PK", as well as a red-and-white shirt and shoes, is seen standing, proud.
At the bottom, the slogan "We Communicate with Kids" appears by merging.
Technique: 2D computer graphic.
Audio: Mainly the ending theme of any videotape produced by Pro-Kids.
Availability: This logo is an easy find on The Pro-Kids Show videotapes, as well as all three The Trollies sing-along videotapes (like Radio Sing-Along, The All-New Musical Adventure and Christmas Sing-Along, for example). It is also seen at the end of religious children's television shows seen at the time, like Opryland Kids Club.
